Swarf Briquetting

We are proud to partner with RUF UK to provide our customers with an integrated package of RUF swarf briquetting and CARDEV coolant recycling equipment.

1
CCS – Coolant Cleaning Station Central coolant recycling station capable of treating 500 litres of used coolant every 3 to 4 hours.
2
Swarf Briquetting Waste swarf is compressed into briquettes resulting in: • Reduced space • Reduced volume • Coolant saving
3
SmartMix – Coolant Mixing Station The SmartMix coolant mixing station, capable of delivering clean coolant via a distribution pipework system or locally via a dispensing gun. Fast delivery, accurate mixing.

The Ultimate Swarf Management & Coolant Recycling Solution

Swarf Briquetting Waste swarf is compressed into briquettes resulting in: • Reduced space • Reduced volume • Coolant saving

As part of the briquetting process, coolant is released as the swarf is compressed.

This coolant can be reclaimed and reconditioned with a CARDEV CCS Coolant Cleaning Station, which integrates with a Ruf briquetting system.

You can reclaim and recondition all of this coolant, making it fit for re-use. CCS removes particles and trampoil, and controls bacterial growth.

Swarf Briquetting and coolant cleaning combine to produce some fantastic savings and very fast payback, as can be seen in the case studies below:

The Coolant Cleaning Station Process

Coolant from the workshop is collected in the CCS used coolant tank as sumps are emptied, or as a result of swarf handling / briquetting. Used coolant is transferred through a bag filter to the CCS process tank, where trampoil is coalesced and removed. Ozone gas is infused to control bacteria levels.

The SmartMix Process

Up to 4 concentration presets can be programmed. Coolant is mixed accurately into a consistent, “tight” emulsion giving it the best chance of performing as intended, and lasting as long in service as possible.

The SmartMix has pressure control, allowing it to pressurise a distribution pipework system, starting and stopping on demand from either from the pipework or from the local dispensing gun.
